Higher Calling In Christ Ministries International, Inc. (HCCMI) is a hybrid, non-denominational congregation that was founded on December 27, 2020 and incorporated on February 8, 2021. The ministry is headquartered in Miami, but has a bold vision transcending geographical boundaries. It offers both online and in-person services for a global reach. The ministry is in church planting phase and hosts all services online, with once monthly in-person Sunday Services, once monthly Saturday street evangelism, and occasional fellowship opportunities for local members.
HCCMI is more than just the name of a local church, it is a message to the universal Church -- aka the Body of Christ. At HCCMI, we believe that God has a purpose for each believer all over the world. Therefore, we specialize in creating disciples by presenting the gospel in a contemporary and engaging manner, awakening and nurturing the spiritual gifts in others, and guiding them toward their higher calling in Christ. HCCMI equips saints with the tools and resources they need to have sustained character as a believer and to carry out their kingdom mantles, ministries and mandates.

The Lord began to send messengers (apostles, prophets & elders) to confer upon Davon Johnson the office of a elder/pastor. |
October 3, 2020 |
The Lord sent the first of a series of messengers to confirm to Davon and Deborah Johnson that He wanted them to plant a new church. |
October 9, 2020 |
Davon and Deborah Johnson resigned from leadership and branched out of their local church to pursue the call of God. |
October 31, 2020 |
After prayer and fasting, the Lord revealed the name of the new church: Higher Calling In Christ Ministries International to Davon Johnson in a vision and placed His seal of approval on it. |
December 11, 2020 |
The vision for HCCMI was announced publicly to the world by Davon & Deborah Johnson via Facebook Live. |
December 27, 2020 |
HCCMI was founded (unincorporated) and held it's inaugural Sunday Service virtually via Facebook Live, which received over 1.2K views. |
February 8, 2021 |
HCCMI was filed and officially recognized by the Florida Department of State as a not-for-profit, faith-based corporation. |
May 2, 2021 |
HCCMI created an official Board of Directors, appointed officers and officially established Davon Johnson as the ordained pastor over HCCMI. |
May 20, 2023 |
Davon and Deborah Johnson completed a nearly 2-year Incubator Collective training program offered by City To City Miami, which assists new pastors in developing key church planting and church revitalization competencies. |
July 9, 2023 |
HCCMI launched once a month, in-person Sunday services in North Miami, FL. |
